ACME Worldwide Enterprises, Inc. has been selected by Kratos Training Solutions to provide a suite of replica weapon systems for the US Navy MH-60 Naval Aircrew Training Systems (NATs) and four MH-60S Aircrew Virtual Environment Trainer (AVET) trainers being produced by Kratos.
Under the contract, ACME will provide M240, GAU-21, GAU-17 replica weapons and aircraft mounts for the MH-60 aircrew trainers. The gunnery training systems will feature ACME’s patented, all-electric Gun Active Recoil system that provides full-force recoil and realistic rate of fire.
“This program has exciting new capabilities and features planned…it’s going to bring aviation gunnery training to a whole new level especially for in-flight malfunctions” said ACME’s president, Randy Gurule. “We look forward to this new program and the opportunity to work with Kratos”.
The contract extends ACME’s long history providing unique weapon training systems for customers. Since 2005, ACME has produced more the 350 gun-recoil systems used nationwide in US Air Force, Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard simulators. ACME’s machine gun simulators are used for gunnery training in dismounted operations trainers, trucks, armored assault vehicles, and aircraft simulators.
