ACME is heading to Nellis AFB in sunny Las Vegas, Nevada on January 14 & 15 to participate in the WEPTAC Industry Trade show. We’re taking our F-15/F-16 type True Q® Dynamic Motion Seat to demonstrate how realistic motion cueing built right into a replica ejection seat can help crews with their simulation and training needs. The demonstrator includes our motion seat and a small cockpit with controls and visuals so crews can ‘fly’ the motion seat. They’ll get to see and feel how the seat works with simulation to provide realistic motion cues.
This is our second year at WEPTAC and the aircrews we met with at the show last year warmly welcomed the motion seat. Crews embraced the training utility of the motion seat for both fixed wing and rotor wing applications. Crews also told us about the seat’s utility for UAS applications were crews could immediately benefit from additional cueing.
WEPTAC proved to be a great way to talk with crews and gather their unique perspectives on what works and what could work better. This direct feedback is vital. We’ve listened closely to customer feedback on their training needs for years and built solutions right into the motion seats. Listening to the customer is exactly how we’ve brought five generations of improvements to motion seats. We’re looking forward to fresh new inputs from crews attending this year’s WEPTAC.
