Bugeye Technologies – ACME M240

The U.S Army contracted Bugeye Technologies as a part of the Synthetic Training Environment (STE) program to prototype Door Gunner Trainers. This video demonstrates the integration of various product technologies into a virtual reality simulation using ZedaSoft’s CBA® for Simulation software framework. The ACME Worldwide Enterprises simulated M240D gun system is tightly integrated with the HTC Vive helmet mounted display (HMD) and the MetaVR® Virtual Reality Scene Generator (VRSG) to produce this highly realistic door gunner training scenario. The open systems architecture of CBA allows for the rapid integration of new gun platform and sensor spectrum plug-ins thereby increasing the tempo of training availability.
